In the last post, you witnessed what a mindset devoid of God can potentially do...in this case, the unfortunate events in Connecticut...

As painful as it is, the events in Connecticut is just a small portion of what is actually happening around the world...the killings, the wars, the rapes, the abuses...it is totally illogical for any of these to happen, and yet they do...

What drives a human being to kill, to abuse, to rape, to invade, to hate, to cheat, to lie, to steal, to use bad language...?

It all comes back to a mismanaged mindset...also a frame of mind that was nurtured incorrectly, going against all the logical and peaceful conventions that are normal for humanity...

Call it "spiritual mismanagement," misguiding you in your spiritual pursuits, and destroying one in particular: staying in-tune with God...

Actually all your circumstances in your life can potentially affect your spiritual connection to God, and Satan knows this...

Satan is on the offensive, with the objective of cutting-off everyone from God...by using either success or failure to affect your life:

1. Success can drive you away from God
2. Failure can drive you away from God...

It all depends on your mind, the way you prioritize things AND the way you manage your mindset.

Now there's some controversy as to the nature of Satan, and what is his real objective...

• Is he bent on revenge for having been removed from heaven, or:
• Is he a tool with which God can test us...?

Either way, Satan's rage has one objective in mind: separate us all from God, cutting us off God's love, which includes anointing, blessing, favor, increase, etc...by driving you into mismanaging your connection to God.

It is your responsibility to manage your own soul, to keep it in-tune with God...

It's also your responsibility to teach others the right mindset that will enable them to reconnect to God...

Communication with God is meant to be heartfelt and sincere, the way Jesus the Liberator showed the world...

We're not talking religion here...that's only a small part of the big picture; the right mindset is one that is able to rise above the earthly systems and establish spiritual communication with God, and manage to keep that contact alive...

Just as you manage all areas of your life...your family, friends, work, car, etc...you also need to manage your contact with the Lord.

You must enter into a dimension of faith that surpasses the system of religion, transcending into the realm of the spiritual...and that's where you find your contact with God...

Jesus showed the world how (he was really way ahead of his time spiritually, even today)...

From the recent posts you've read, you have come to realize that Satan has other plans for you, and will use all the necessary tools available to get his way:

• to cut you off from God...
• to cut you off your spiritual freedom-fighter: Jesus

Many of his tools are actually dependent on the state of your mindset, the way you manage it...

So you can blame bad circumstances for your current mindset:

• never got a lucky break
• parents were abusive
• got into trouble with the law
• have been cheated upon
• have been let down by someone you trusted
• a random event that you did not expect...

Whatever the circumstances, if your mindset is not tuned-in to God, then you will be open to mismanaging the situations you come across in your life...and deepen your separation from God instead of involving Him in your circumstances.

It also means that God's promises of defending you, embracing you, favoring you, granting you blessings, healing you from adverse situations...will not be manifested...

You can be assured that Satan will take advantage of any spiritual voids caused by a negative mindset...

Your mindset determines the journey of your life...

In other words, your mind is set to function according to the thoughts and ideas that you program into it...

I wonder what kind of mindset did the shooter have, a 24 year-old who today murdered scores of children and a few adults at a school in Connecticut, motivation in causing the nightmare that ensued...

Clearly his mind was not in the right place...

Analysts will have a field day studying the day's events...

As Christians, we understand that we are free in Christ, liberated and anointed by the Holy Spirit, favored by God...

But we are not out of the woods...

The forces of the Evil One constantly lurk around and seek the weak in mind, the unprepared...the uninformed...

Once Satan has found someone like that, he will then nurture that person with the potential to destroy others through thought, word, and deed...

Today, in Connecticut, the destruction was far more sinister and cruel...it caused mass murder...

And all because of a weak mindset in a single person!

With heartfelt sincerity, I pray that the Lord give the victims' families comfort and steadfastness in this dark hour...

The victims were undeserving of this tragedy...

Yet the forces of Evil, Satan, are feverishly trying to cut us off from God, and will employ all kinds of tactics to achieve his end...

Unless you discover the clandestine weapons Satan uses to keep you away from God, you will always be a victim...

Anointing will not come...
Blessings will be lacking...
Favor will not come...
Any prosperity will be inadequate...

Normal human convention cannot work on its own unscathed...

There is always a variable of the mysterious that lurks within humanity...the spiritual...

Unless you sincerely realize that there is a spiritual dimension that is entwined with the physical, you will find that any increase in one's fortunes are ridden with complications and inadequacies that will always keep you unbalanced, always lacking...

This lack brings about the void I discussed in a previous post...

This is the kind of thing that Satan looks for: to punch open voids within our hearts, and fill them with a mindset of sorrow, all kinds of negative emotions, thinking that leads to outward destruction in thought, word, and deed...

The world is definitely Satan's playground...and we are his playthings, creating in each and every one of us the potential of a wrong mindset that can keep us from tuning-into God...

Imagine, every situation, large or small can disconnect you from God...miniscule situations, minor annoyances that can become major building-blocks toward serious disturbances in your life...

These disturbances are designed to distract your spiritual contact with God, diverting your 'spiritual-signal' away from God and into 'dead spiritual space.'

And it isn't just the material things in life that can disconnect you from God...like money, cars, fame, power, etc.

Your mindset, which is comprised of your beliefs, your opinions, your convictions...these unseen qualities in you...can affect your behavior in ways that can veer you off-course from God.

The information stored in your mind can set the stage to your disconnection from God...and it can start from the moment you were born, by simply storing knowledge that tunes-out instead of tuning-in to God....

It's almost a viral thing, and sometimes seemingly natural that you'd be more concerned about earthly matters rather than spiritual ones...and you can't help but pursue the challenge of the physical...

After all, you are someone who must:

• pay bills
• raise kids
• maintain a healthy marriage
• pursue a career
• pay your taxes
• confront all challenges in your life
• tackle personal inadequacies (fear, insecurity, inferiority complex...etc)

Now Satan knows human nature all too well...and how easy it is to steer a human being off-course from his relationship with God...

As long as you are not mindful of God and what He desires from you...plus by depriving you the belief that your faith can create miracles in  your life by simply being in-touch with God spiritually, then Satan can have his way with you...

In other words he can keep you away from staying in-touch with God...

So your life-journey can be one that has a connection to God and therefore becoming a recipient of all the help God has to offer...

Or follow a pattern that steers you away from God and into a spiritual void that Satan can easily refill with more diversions along the way...

So now you have a good basis for understanding what Satan is up to...

Satan is getting exposed here little by little so that there is understanding about the nature of the spiritual war going on...

Yes, Satan does have an agenda against you and every human being on the planet...past, present, future...

As a faith-based person, you realize that Satan is trying to separate you from knowing God...and he does this by using circumstances in  your life...

They can be bad, and even good circumstances, so long as they will disconnect you from God...

It's not the circumstance that is the end result...the end result is to shift your mindset away from having any confidence in God for anything happening in your life...

In other words Satan wants to cut you off from God, cut you off receiving any blessings or favor...cut you off from God's divine protection...

And circumstances can also create a spiritual vacuum in which Satan can fill with other ideas and ways that are far removed from God... 

So to itemize all this, here's what you have so far:

1. Satan has an agenda to make your life godless...
2. He will use your life-journey to create the circumstances that will affect your life...
3. The circumstances can either be good or bad...
4. Either way, the circumstances used are meant to steer you away from God by:
5. Manipulating your mindset, and steering it away from dependence to God...
6. The end result being creating a vacuum in your soul that Satan will fill with other experiences and extinguishing any thought about God influencing your life...
7. You will be effectively cut off from receiving any blessings and favor from the Lord...
8. You will then live a life in the natural realm, without any thought about the possibility of divine help from above...

Imagine if you permit Satan to create a spiritual void in your life...believing there is nothing beyond this world...

Life becomes empty, pointless...

In some way, morality and ethics are then open to your pleasure of either respecting or destroying...

Existence becomes finite, terminal, with no hope for a beyond...

Yet even if you try to eliminate any notion about an afterlife or God, you'll always have a yearning from within, a desire about seeking out a 'beyond' existence...

You sense that something in 'the beyond' is beckoning for you to consider an existence beyond the frontiers of the natural...

To enter into a spiritual realm...

This is where Satan shines the most: once he cuts you off from God, he will plummet you into an endless spiral of searching for a beyond that does not exist...

You will search for, and practice rituals that have no effect in your spiritual life except having a "feel good" experience that is misinterpreted as a divine or spiritual event...

About our mindsets and how we are so busy trying to fix them...

Humanity has been very busy re-shaping its way of thinking in these modern times;

• Wars to end all wars;
• East versus West;
• Free world against Communism;
• Religious despotism...etc.

And all this time, through all these systems, humanity has been trying to influence our mindsets to think in one way or another...

But what if we've been going about this all wrong?

I mean let us look at this seriously:

Have we become victims of our own arrogance and self-worth?

Think about it:

We have developed sciences that dissect all subjects known to mankind...

Psychology;
Sociology;
Religion;
Anthropology;
Criminology;
Philosophy;
Astrology;
Psychiatry;
History;
Dentistry...etc.

I can go on and on but you get the point...

Humanity is expanding its knowledge at an increasing speed and poised to launch itself to the far corners of the 'knowledge universe...'

All this knowledge is great and fun...

But is it also dangerous?

Why dangerous?

It's all relative, really; we are opening greater avenues of knowledge...it is our nature to evolve...

It's expansion...

And God wants us to expand and develop...he is expecting this...

He also expects that every generation be grateful to Him...

No, God doesn't want you to kiss His ass and play religion with Him...

That's boring to Him...

He wants honest gratitude and a pure heart...wouldn't you?

He too wants you to progress and be a success...(what the...?)

Surprised?

Well don't be because Satan is waiting on the sidelines to destroy you...

Let's expose Satan a bit here...

To him, your success or failure means one thing: a way for him to cut you off from God...

Face it:

1. if you fail, you become open to destabilization which cuts you off from God;
2. if you succeed, you are open to distraction and destabilization cutting you off from God.

Either way, Satan sets the stage to cut you off from God...

While you are busy building or struggling toward personal glory (or survival), Satan sets the appropriate stage to steer your mindset away from God...

And Satan's playground is so vast! He will use your personal circumstances to veer you off-course...from the smallest situation to the largest...

It 's important to emphasize this because in these last days, plenty of folks out there are not really mindful of God...

They go through the motions of religion (going to church, or the synagogue, the temple, mosque, etc.) and worshipping over and over again...

There is nothing wrong with that, be assured...

We all need a foundation from which we can learn how to worship...but at the same time, we need to express ourselves to God openly, beyond the systems and rituals we have learned...

Those were systems of training...we can't stop there...

A believer must "think out of the box."

Jesus showed us how to do that, showing us how to creatively express our real selves to God in love and sincere gratitude...

Satan however wants us to remain in that system of religion...he knows that a system becomes routine and meaningless eventually, with no heartfelt meaning behind it...

Just going through the motions with no real results...

God wants originality; He understands that ritual is a training ground, even a 'getting-back-to-the-basics' procedure of re-training if you lost your way...that's ok...

But God eventually wants to hear from you, in a sincere and heartfelt way, without the crutches of ritual...

Satan wants you to think that the Lord can't detect your sincere or false intentions...

Now if you are sincere with yourself, you already know that nothing is hidden from God...He can see it all, including your intentions...including if you are trying to fool him by playing religion by simply showing up at church (yet the rest of the week you have no thought of Him).

Let's expose Satan a little more: he wants you to think that staying in contact with God has to be complicated and time-consuming...in the end you fall into that conviction and end up not even giving a thought to God at all during the week...

Jesus demonstrated that God only wants a simple and heartfelt consideration...tuning-in to God is as simple a matter of being aware of Him, and then doing good deeds as a demonstration of your faith in Him...

The rest he takes care of for you...blessings and favor will follow...

Increase and prosperity of equal measure will come...

So you need to be aware that staying in-touch with God requires freedom and creativity to be practiced...not to be bogged down by rituals and systems that are only good for training and restructuring in case you fell away...

Staying in a system can actually fall into Satan's advantage against you...

We've been discussing how Satan sets the stage to create voids in our lives...

The voids are plenty, too numerous to consider...

Yet every time you are discomforted by something, it is because there is something lacking in your situation, a void that can aggravate your mind...

Take money for example; for plenty of folks out there, the lack of money provides them with a sense of inability...not being able to do the things they would like to do...

Imagine your behaviour if you feel financial stress; you may react in anger, jealousy, depressed, discouraged, loss of self-confidence...

Such a void can also create a host of negative physical and psychological reactions that can affect the people around you...

Just this example demonstrates how your frustrations can escalate to a level where you may display a whole new set of behaviours that can be destructive, right?

Unannounced and completely kept away from our awareness are Satan's secret weapons that are busy setting the conditions to disrupt your life...

Under normal, earthly circumstances, you wouldn't even consider that there is an evil spirit out there that can interfere with your life...you'd figure that your misfortunes are just part of life...

But it isn't so...

It is so important to shift your manner of thinking at this point...

Many call it 'mindset.'

I call it mindset too...

Satan's objective is (and always will be) to cut you off from God in any way possible...

Once he has a foothold in your life, he will set up a host of circumstances that will create more voids in your life...and without God in the picture to steer your life away from negative circumstances, you will fall victim to all manner of earthly situations...

But let's get one thing clear: problems will always exist in our earthly journey...

That's life, a learning curve that lasts a lifetime...

What's in question is the manner which you handle the problems and challenges...

You will either:

1. handle the circumstances within the natural realm, with all its turbulence and consistent voids, or:
2. live a life with a distorted vision of faith in God...(Satan likes this one!), or:
3. live a life with God in the picture, a natural life without real meaning or purpose...which creates a universe of voids in your life...

Can you yourself figure out how many voids you have in your life right now?

Think about it...

The last few posts should have made you realize Satan's actual plan: cutting you off from God...

It means that blessings and favor from the Almighty God will be cut off as well...

Imagine the magnitude behind Satan's actual plan...it's huge!

Think of its implications: you being separated from God's loving nature in your life, empty from any inner spiritual fulfillment...

Simply empty...

Imagine the vaccum it causes in your inner self...a void that cannot be left empty; it  needs to be filled...

The void doesn't disappear...

It is by nature a space within your soul that needs to be filled...

Satan will fill it for you...

If you are not mindful of Satan's plans, he will help you fill your empty void...his way. He has the secret weapons that will inject in your disconnection from God...

Sadly, plenty of us help Satan in his quest to fill our void because we are unaware that we are cut-off from God...

There is no protection, no blessings and favor to steer us toward God's Will in our modern lives...

We are simply not tuned-in to God in spite our desire to be with Him on the surface...yet deep down, we are left with the void  that Satan fills for us.

How does Satan do it?

He uses his secret weapons that no one has detected (possibly ignored?)...making us place
other values first before God...our obligations...

• the debts
• the mortgage
• the relationships
• the sex
• the drugs
• the lies
• the hypocricy
• the right
• the left
• lack of time...

The list is endless, circumstances from the most miniscule to the most important...and Satan can usethem all because of the void we choose to create in our soul...

So to recap: Satan creates spiritual voids in our soul by cutting us off from God, and then fills the void with circumstances that will keep us out-of-tune from Him.
